Rivington Pike – easy (just) 3 mile walk – Aug 2010

Rivington Pike via the Japanese Gardens – August 2010

Rivington Pike sits at 363m and is surrounded by the Japanese Gardens in Lever Park, created by William Lever around the 1900’s. There’s a decent bit of history here and you can imagine how spectacular it must have looked when it was first opened.

Once you get to the top of Rivington Pike there is a Grade II listed building which can be seen from many parts of West Lancashire – especially around M61.

There are plenty of parking spaces at the Great House Barn, a cafe, an adventure park called Go Ape, and lots of different walking routes.
