Parking, roads and amenities
There’s a large car park, cafe, gift shop and toilets at the start of the walk but be warned you have to pay, however this is very reasonable.
|Family Ticket||£9.00||(2 adults and up to 3 children aged under 16 years)|
|Adult Ticket||£4.50||(16 years and over)|
|Child Ticket||£2.00||(aged under 16 years)|
You can do the walk in reverse and avoid paying but parking could be tricky and I presume that the money goes to preserving the place, so it’s a no brainer really.
Lots of steps and can be muuddy underfoot but the walk is marked very well. Proper boots recommended. Dogs are okay on leads.
There’s two ways to tackle this walk, the right way and the wrong way. The wrong way is by parking in the village and avoiding paying to get in. Park in the car park and follow the signs – it’s as simple as that!
