Places of interest – Forest of Bowland AONB

The Forest of Bowland AONB comprises 312 square miles of wild, remote beauty in rural Lancashire.  Dotted around Bowland are various landmarks and places of interest.  I’ve listed a few of them below:

Beacon Fell (Beacond Fell County Park)

Bowland Knotts (Rocky outcrop near Gisburn Forest)

Brock Bottom

Great Stone of Fourstones (Large boulder with carved steps on the Yorkshire border)

Gisburm Forest (The only true ‘forest’ within the Forest of Bowland AONB)
