Brock Mill and Beacon Fell – easy 4.75 mile circular – April 2011

Brock is a place I have been coming to for over 30 years. It is a very popular spot for visitors in Western Lancashire and so is Beacon Fell. I have never connected the two on a walk and after sorting a route I knew it could be done in 2 or 3 hours – depending on whether I put my foot down.

I would heartily recommend this walk to anyone who enjoys working and is looking for an easy route that will get the heart pumping.

If you would like a stop-off there is a cafe and toilets at Beacon Fell. This is about 2/3rds of the way round.

Difficulty Easy – a good challenge for beginners
Distance 4.75 miles
Time 2 – 3 hours (leisurely)
Height 266 metres (Beacon Fell summit)
Terrain Mainly good paths, tracks and roads
