Barden Moor – Bolton Abbey Area – Easy Walk – December 2012

I had a job in Barnoldswick this morning and had a spare hour when I’d finished, so I thought I’d take a look at Bolton Abbey (somewhere I’ve never been but heard a lot about). So I rushed down the A59 (20 miles an hour behind a tractor) and had a quick walk along the river and half way up a nearby hill that leads to Simon’s Seat.
I will definitely come back when I have more time. And it also looks like a great area for summer walks and picnic type days.
